How To Access The HISD Employee Portal

The HISD Employee Portal commonly called myHISD is the central resource and information center for HISD employees. Here, you’ll find important news, tools you need to do your job, and collaboration spaces for individual departments.

Why Access The HISD Employee Portal?

Departments that stored information and forms on the old employee portal now have SharePoint pages, which are accessible by all HISD employees. Those same departments also have “collaboration sites” which are only accessible by department employees. Phase two will expand these collaboration sites to all departments.

The new intranet site contains several upgrades, including:

  • A more robust search feature and streamlined navigation
  • Employee news
  • Quick links to relevant resources
  • Employee directories

How To Access The HISD Employee Portal

When you are on an HISD network, you will only need to sign on the first time you visit the page using your network login information. This is the same user name and password you use to log into your HISD computer.

The site will recognize your log-in credentials for future visits on the HISD network. Some applications, however, like Etrain and a few others will require a unique log-in and password.

To access the HISD Employee Portal (myHISD), go to or from, click on the “Employees” header.

Enter username@domain and your password to login. (Staff: [email protected] and Students: [email protected]). For login problems, please contact the service desk at 713-892-7378.

How To Reset Your Password

In an effort to empower end-users and improve security, Information Technology offers staff members a password reset tool called HISD Access.

Now all HISD account users are able to manage and reset their own account passwords by setting up your profile, where you are able to use your personal email and cell phone to receive verification codes to allow you to reset it.

Set up your profile today in case you forget your password!

Like other systems or websites, everyone will need to set up a profile with their name, login information and supply a cell number (to receive text messages) and a personal email address. If you have set up your profile for HISD access before, you will need to reregister to continue to use the tool.

Click here to set up your profile all you need is your personal email address and cell phone number. During the process you will need to access both your email and text messages.

After setting up your profile, you can reset your password from any internet enabled device at any time.
